Easter vacation/Spring BreakThis Easter break (also known as spring break) has been very peaceful and not hectic, which is exactly what I needed after all the work I was buried under. Ever since the past two weeks, I have been longing for this break. The harshness of winter was starting to drive me insane, with all the seasonal depression. It wasn't only me, I'm sure it had affected my family, even my best friend told me she was feeling dull and was longing for the warmth of the sun. Spring has always been my favourite season, I have forever loved the flowers and breezy, yet warm weather it brings. Plus, my birthday is in the middle of this wonderful season! My family and I spent the first half of the break in Gdansk,Poland. We visited places such as St.Mary's Basilica, the old town, Malbork Castle and Sopot. My favourite was the Malbork Castle, mainly because of my obsession with medieval europe. I would recommend Gdansk to everyone! However, while we were visiting, it was insanely windy there, so be prepared for that! The second half was spent back at home with a relative. We went to church as usual (important masses during Easter!) and spent time relaxing. Even though I will miss this break, I still look forward to the rest of this semester at school! |
